About me:  I am a 14 year resident of Richmond, and this is my 5th year as a mustache grower.  I am a father of 3 girls and a resident of Bon Air.  I was recruited into M4K by my good buddy and neighbor, David Hogan - founder of the Richmond M4K chapter, and lead guitarist for the Bon Airs.

For those of you who have never heard of Mustaches for Kids, it is a volunteer-run, charity organization consisting of chapters in many cities across the good 'ol USA, where men of all ages get together to grow 'staches and raise money for local children's charities right before the holiday season.   We gather weekly beginning in November to measure and document our progress, laugh at each other, drink a few cold ones - and we finish off 4 weeks later with a Stash Bash where we turn in our donations to distribute before Christmas.  Below is an idea of the local charities that M4K Richmond has donated to.  The Children’s Hospital Foundation, Greater Richmond SCAN, ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation, The Founders Center of Commonwealth Autism, and Feedmore

The Stache Bash is a really fun event that is open to family and friends of any of the growers, with music, food, drinks, and a fun theme where the growers come in costumes related to their mustache.   If you donate to me, you are of course invited to this years 2016 Bash, held on 2-Dec. at Hardywood Brewery in Richmond.  Thanks for your consideration!

In 2010, my first year as a grower, the M4K Richmond guys collectively raised over $22,000.  In 2011 we raised over $30k.  Here is how the funds were distributed that  year:

$10,000 checks each to our 3 main charities:

ASK -  Childhood Cancer Foundation (www.askweb.org)
SCAN - Stop Child Abuse Now (grscan.com)
Richmond Children's Hospital Foundation (chfrichmond.org)

I would appreciate your support and you can donate right here online.

Thanks for helping out - and enjoy my brief galleria of Rock and Roll mustaches below....
