It’s that time of year — when I trade my clean-shaven dignity for a good cause.

I’m growing a mustache (yes, intentionally) to raise money for Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia, an organization that brings hope and joy to children battling critical illnesses. Over the next four weeks, I’ll be embracing the awkward stages, the side-eye glances, and the inevitable “are you doing this on purpose?” comments — all to help grant more wishes right here in our community.
