We are the 2024 Community Champion award winner for non-profits in Chesterfield County. We serve and empower Richmond-area young men who are fatherless or need positive male role models.
Our Mission: To empower and enable young men in need of positive male role models to L.A.U.N.C.H into adulthood with resilience, compassion, and self-worth
Our Vision: To support and guide young men aged 12-16 years old with the tools and community resources needed to succeed as men, to realize their own potential, and cultivate the same in others.
Fatherlessness is the top social and family issue of our lifetime and the outcomes are sobering:
- 71% of high school dropouts
- 85% of youth in prisons
- 60% of youth suicides
- 90% of all homeless and runaway children
- 2-3x more likely to commit crimes or experience behavioral or mental health challenges.
We aim to break this cycle of outcomes through our free, progressive group mentoring programs for Richmond area young men (age 12-16+). We equip young men with essential life skills, boost their confidence and self-worth, enhance resilience and compassion, and encourage them to make a difference in their community.
Our demand continues to grow (700% growth since 2021) and our "growers" need your support to sustain our programs, meet growing demand, and deepen our impact.
