Mustaches for Kids Richmond raised $100,000 for children’s charities in Virginia through donations by 128 men who grew mustaches throughout November.
ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation, the Children’s Hospital Foundation and SCAN each received $25,000. The Faison School and the Autism Grant each received $12,500.
Whiskers in the Richmond region raised more than $55,000 for children’s charities during the 2012 “growing season” of Mustaches for Kids Richmond.
More than 65 participants grew mustaches, resulting in donations of $17,500 each toGreater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now), The Children’s Hospital Foundation and ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. The remaining funds will support the nonprofits in other ways throughout the year.
Mustaches for Kids (M4K) Richmond raised more than $30,000 for Richmond-area organizations that help children.
During M4K's 2011 "growing season," the group invited men to collect donations as they grew their mustaches. More than 66 men participated to raise money for Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now), The Children's Hospital Foundation and ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. M4K awarded $10,000 to each organization.
