For my girls....

Some may know but for those that don’t, Tammy (a true superhero) and I experienced the loss of our twin daughters in our early twenties. We had twin daughter, Hope and Faith, that were our first-born twins we had to watch pass away before we could take them home. Tammy also experienced additional hospital visits after their birth.  We were so lucky to have amazing family and friends to get us through this horrific time. I was also lucky to have great insurance and a very good job to help with the expenses that typically drain these families’ abilities to get through the treatments and life in the hospital.

Working with ASK (and some of the other charities M4K provides for) I have seen firsthand what this support can do. I have delivered and assembled furniture to children getting home from treatments that were sleeping on floors, delivered food during the holidays, and delivered gift cards that have gotten families through the holidays to provide food and a sense of comfort during these horrific times. We have also been able to gather trades to donate support with financial offset to make the homes fit for the children after treatments. Some of these homes have had mold, broken windows/doors, and air quality issues, and cleanliness that are just not fit for them to survive in. The families can also receive funds to help pay rent or mortgages and additional bills when needed. 

The rules are supposed to be a start with a clean shave, then updates of the mustache coming along but I like to take it a step further. I start with a LARGE, AKWARD, and WIFE MORTIFYING mustache that should only be chauffeured around in a white van. I will be sharing fun moments, comments, and updates to where we are in this campaign to help children and families in need.
