Beginning Wednesday, November 5th, I will launch a personal project to raise awareness (and funds!) for the Autism Society Central Virginia as a participant in the Mustaches for Kids Richmond (M4K) annual grow-a-thon from November 5th through December 5th! Once again, I’ve joined the Stubble Squad—the ASCV’s team with a collective fundraising goal of $25K!
Think of it as a living pilot program: scope defined, schedule set, and deliverables growing right under my nose!
Like any good infrastructure project, there will be phases:
Initiation: Day 1 stubble, stakeholder buy‑in (a.k.a. your laughs and support).
Planning: Managing awkward growth stages, risk mitigation (yes, it may look questionable).
Execution: Full deployment of the mustache, driving awareness and fundraising. Critical step: Keeping stakeholders updated! Plus, even more fun, participating in weekly gatherings with fellow growers and supporters.
Closeout: A successful ’Stache Bash celebration, with measurable impact for ASCV.
The critical infrastructure here isn’t the mustache—it’s the Autism Society of Central Virginia’s programs. For over 40 years, ASCV has been building capacity, strengthening connections, and delivering essential services for individuals with autism and their families.
Your support is the fuel that keeps this project on schedule and within scope. Together, we can transform a small construction zone on my face into a major investment in our community.
